"...on the road"

I've been watching video live streams of truckers driving across the western states. They be talking about the roads snow their families, and listening to the radio.

When traveling I remember how local radio stations would fade in, and out as the country flashed by. Each with a different underpaid announcer. These giving reports on weather farms, and school activities. 

On that live stream there was radio mention of a lost calf being found by kids in the snow. It was like listening to a broadcast from another planet. One not at war with itself.
