I read in the NY Times today that 130,000 NYC kids in our public schools are from Homeless families. These are Shelter kids.
They number in just this City more than whole populations of many medium sized cities, and counties in this country.
This doesn't count their parents.
Our 49,000,000 millions of American poor out number the complete populations of Western European countries.
All this is fine.
I was just watching Alan Greenspan on C-Span say "These numbers are the necessary cost of a prosperous market capital country".
Point blank no excuses he said this.
Most that eat regular can order pizza and buy stupid shit on Amazon agree. This by doing nothing. Mind you these aren't rich folks.

Tens of millions in want is fine with them, and most everyone else.

Yes, this is the problem: Americans don't give a shit about each other, let alone anybody else. Heard them complaining lately about what's being done to kids in Yemen, partly with their tax money? Of course not. They couldn't care less. And if you told them about it, it's you they would get mad at for disturbing their blissful and highly sought after ignorance.

By nature American are an insular people. We were isolationist for 90% of our history. The grand accident of the 20th century's 100 years war forced us into the world.

It's the Utopian religious background in so many of our internal cultures. That make us insular. Many white Americans feel they, and their ancestors came here to flee the madness of the world, and build heaven on earth.
So many towns around this country are named Bliss Paradise Haven. Telling is this not of what we think we are, but never came close. All of it based on Genocide Slavery, and the utter rape of the physical earth.
So most here really don't care about the world or it's ways, and peoples. After all they're already in heaven. If there are those here that suffer. Well they must be sinners or not real Americans, and fuck'em.
It really is this simple.
This is what near all white Americans think of the world the poor, and un-white. Could I be wrong have I over stated it what with being on the business end of their power?
