I saw a rat in front of my house a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThe evil bitch downstairs has a redeeming feature: she likes to feed stray cats. So the food left outdoors attracts all kinds of creatures: crows, possums, stray dogs, raccoons and, yes, rats. Five times I’ve had to chase a possum off my back porch. A few nights ago it was a raccoon from in front of the house.
Here’s a tip about chasing away wild animals: making sure you’re above and well out of reach, throw water at them. They don’t like it. Keep throwing (or hosing) and they will run.
I wouldn’t try this with a near, though; not unless I was equipped with nothing less than a really powerful fire hose.
