Speaking of the petrol famines. No idea what alternate history or other planet this comes from. Runs on apples. After the end of a 150km ride open the hood and have a fresh hot apple pie. You supply the napkins, and plates though. I'll have two of these. One to drive one to use as a stove.

    Some really old-fashioned internal combustion vehicles can run on wood. This was quite popular back in WWII. I've seen photos of old pickup trucks outfitted this way. You need a lot of firewood, of course.
