In reply to my battle cry "Kill All Robots" at the end of my post about the loss of yet another Musketeer. Comrade Z Head of the anti-Digital Warfare resistance of his area sent the image of the heroic runestone commemorating the event, and the below video.
I later found this heroic post attached to the YouTube post:
You remember that video of a Russian medieval reenactor taking out a drone with a spear? This one: http://imgur.com/gallery/XJOwFro? Well, someone made a runestone for that.
Also: "The owner of the drone was so impressed by the brilliant attack that he suggested organizing a competition for bringing down "dragons" with short spears next year.
Drone owners have another year to develop a unique "dragon-like" design for their flying machines."
The major problems in the West began with what is called "The Industrial Revolution". We are paying a huge price for this, and it speeds up and gets worse as we continue. On top of that, it has become a global disaster.

Yet they even want those.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Nightmares fill the dreams of peoples around the world, and they can't get enough. As when we gave them dreams of unending prosperity they still need, and love the depths of the American soul.
Even now at our wretched end we remain a unique moment in our species history.
An actual Big Rock Candy Mountain that really happened...no matter the apocalyptic cost. We happened. Nothing like us can happen again.
Others will become richer more powerful, but will not be remotely us.
No one wants to be Chinese Russian or fucking French,...unless you put a gun to their head. Be an American,...a rich one even now when it's all shit?! Youbetcha!
They'd stick a shiv in their grannie's kidney for the chance.
The industrial revolution is a mixed bag. We'll really miss some of its appurtenances, others not so much. The core problem is tech worship and a superstitious veneration of Progress, a tin god with clay feet that are crumbling more every minute.
ReplyDeleteThe American Dream is the greatest story ever sold, a spiritually empty fantasy of material satiety. We should have dumped it ages ago. The hippies tried, but stupidity won out in the end.
