"3-D"

About the new kinds of social platforms that are appearing like worms on the sidewalk after a big rain. They offer Bizzaro services that seem culturally unrecognizable to a person that can remember when the Brooklyn Dodgers were in Brooklyn.

This Brave New World scares the crap out of me.

FB, and blogging 1997 style is as far as I intend to go.
I'm so old school. I bleeping just figured out how to set the fucking clock on my VCR. I ain't used the damned thing in near 20 years, but that clock is Set!

3-D porn when the real deal shows up is another matter.

  1. Cassettes are superior to audio CDs. You can record whatever you want on them, and there is no digital information to be harvested from your device.

Once they roll out 5G tech, I may bail on digital altogether. The web has been very informative and is a good communication medium; but I'm tired of the mandatory aspect of it all. I lived without computers or cell phones for nearly 40 years and I can do it again.

  2. I already live without what most in this country routinely use. I never had an iPhone played a computer game texted a soul or care a damn about anything current in this culture of false idols static, and murder.

    Same here about online.

I lived near 50 years without it. It's loss will be very quickly gotten over. I'll write letters, and research at the library like I did for near all those 50 years thanks.

Basic shelter food meds a toilet, and a library, and I'm good. For a millennial or even the generation before they'd have emotional break downs with only that.

I already witnessed on YouTube some Youngsters cut off by their folks because they were getting into sick shit online literally go into hysteria.

    Sometimes violently so.

Worse in some ways than drug withdrawal which I both witnessed, and experienced. This era of devices which I observe from the outside is profoundly troubling. I shudder at the ultimate damage it will do.

Fuck the 21st century,...they can have it.

  4. Went and bought a copy of James Baldwin's Collected Essays recently. As it turns out there is still something to be said for books.
