"And Now for Something Completely Different"

I just found this science fiction comic book cover on this site. >>>https://www.facebook.com/groups/210046062906517/photos/ I remember reading this as an 11 year old. The plot was that the pilot of the jet fighter pictured was discovered in the wreckage by the frog folks, and put in an air bubble for study.
The language barrier was insurmountable no matter how hard they tried. The pilot eventually escaped the ocean bottom Frog realm.
Years later his son goes on a NASA expedition to Mars. There they find what seem to be simple plants. However these are in fact sentient beings.

Again the communication problem.

The samples are taken back the earth. The plant beings imprisoned for study unable to communicate as the pilot was, but for them no escape.
This was advanced, and humane stuff for early sixties main stream comics.
I've remembered it for over 50 years because of it.

(...Fragments of my past keep bobbing to the surface lately.)
